How it works
Log it in seconds
Tap +, type the amount and you're done: under five seconds from opening the app. Wambi celebrates with you.
See where it goes
Every expense lands in its category. At a glance you know how much went on groceries, going out or getting around, and what living really costs you.
Budgets that give you a heads-up
Set a limit for each category. The bars fill up with what you spend and change color before you go over, not after.
Bring your history
Import your transactions from other finance apps: Budge today, Buddy and others soon.
Open source
Anyone can read Wambito's code: nothing in it is hidden. It's free software, licensed under the AGPL-3.0.
What's next
This is what we have planned. It may change over time.
Connect your AI
Use Claude or ChatGPT to check and log your expenses.
iPhone app
The same app, on iOS too.
End-to-end encryption
Your data is encrypted on your device: not even the server will be able to read it.
Frequently asked questions
What is Wambito?
An app for your monthly budget that doesn't feel like homework. You log what you spend, see what's left in each category, and Wambi, a gold coin with plenty of personality, keeps you company: it cheers when you log something and gives you a heads-up when a category is filling up.
Can I bring my history from other apps?
Yes. Today you can import from Budge: export your transactions as a CSV and upload it when you sign up or later from Settings. Buddy and other apps are coming soon. Before anything is imported you see a preview: how many transactions come in, which ones are duplicates and which categories will be created.
Why doesn't it ask for a password?
Because you don't need one. You sign in with a 6-digit code or a link sent to your email and, if you like, with a passkey: your fingerprint, your face or your phone's screen lock. No password to remember.
What do you do with my data?
Your data travels encrypted, and we never sell it or share it with advertisers. You can export it or delete your account whenever you want. The code is open source: anyone can read the code that handles it.
Is it free?
Yes, and it always will be. Wambito is free and open source: all the code is on GitHub (opens in a new tab) for anyone to read. We never ask for a card.
Which languages is it in?
Spanish, English, Italian and Portuguese. Switch whenever you like in Settings, and amounts and dates follow your language's format.
Ready when you are.
Wambito already works, and we're trying it out with a small group. If you were invited, sign in with your email.
